WHAT IS A VIRTUAL TOUR AND WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS?
Apr 22, 2013
At The Creation Lab we offer a wide range of services, but perhaps the most underrated of these is the virtual tour. While this service may not be applicable to some businesses (the online shop, for example), virtual tours can be really useful for a number of others.
What are virtual tours?
A virtual tour is a sequence of videos or still images, to provide a life-like representation of a location. Sometimes they include a voice over or text with information about the location, and they can also feature additional video or music.
The virtual tours we provide encouraging their web visitors to find out more about their facilities through high quality images that show them off to their best. Depending on the size of your location, it takes about a day to film, and shortly after that we’ll give you a simple line of code to embed into your website.
What are the benefits?
Instead of telling your web users about your beautiful wedding venue, why not show them instead? If your unique selling point has anything to do with your location or facilities, a virtual tour helps bring this to life for your potential customers. It’s more satisfying than a photo gallery, and it also shows you've got nothing to hide.
Your potential customers have the opportunity to explore every inch of your facilities before making a decision about whether to visit or book it out. As they can do all this from the comfort of their own home, there is less pressure on their part and they can take their time making a decision.
There are also great benefits to your website. The internet is an incredibly competitive place, and in order to stand out from the crowd it’s good to have additional features that help visitors stay on your website for longer. A potential customer is more likely to remember your website if they have spent time looking at a virtual tour, and they are also likely to share their experience with others.
