Why an Interesting Meet the Team page is vital to your Business
Mar 24, 2017
Do you have a meet the team page on your business’ website? If not, it’s definitely something you should consider adding, as many of your clients are likely to be interested in the individuals who work within the company.
Many potential clients will feel more comfortable about any business meetings if they can put a face to a name, not to mention the huge amount of personality that can come across from each team member. A client that feels more comfortable can equal a business sale- which is always good. Our meet the team page is actually the most visited page on our entire website. We think it’s because many people are generally just interested, as well as other visitors, and potential clients, wanting to take a sneak peek at those who make up the team at The Creation Lab.
Some will want to know who’s in charge when it comes to their projects. Others will simply want to be nosey. Visitors to our meet the team page can learn information about us as people; what areas we specialise in, what we do in our everyday work life and even what our favourite hobbies are. We like to give people a chance to feel like they’ve got to know us.
Your business can profit from a meet the team page too, whatever sector your business may be in. Meet the team pages help clients and customers to reach the right person when they’re looking for a question to be answered.
What to add
We think meet the team pages should feature photos, names, job roles and a short bio. The best thing to remember is that none of this has to be serious, if you don’t want it to be. We’ve included our baby photos to add something different; giving people a glance into our personal lives but not giving away too much! Sharing facts about what employees like to do outside of work is an ideal way for any potential clients and website visitors to get to know each individual team member on personal levels. This, we think, is the perfect way to begin building a long-term rapport.
We’ve also included team social media accounts, such as Twitter, Linked In and Instagram. Again, we hope that this can share a bit more information on who we are as people- helping us to show who you could potentially be working with as individuals.
To conclude, meet the team pages are vital for your business for the following reasons:
- It increases reliability. Potential clients will want an idea of what kind of company they will theoretically be working with. If your website fails to convince your visitors of your credibility, they’ll simply leave and go elsewhere.
- It helps build relationships. A lasting relationship between your employees and clients is hugely based on the ability to connect with one another as people. A meet the team page is an ideal way to showcase who you are.
- It showcases talent. A meet the team page is the perfect way to highlight each team member’s individual talents and skills- which in turn is an effective way of convincing potential clients that you are right for the job!
