Five things we love in the office right now!
May 19, 2017
This post shares with you what we’ve collectively loved in the office recently.
1. Slack
Think- WhatsApp but for office use! Slack is a messaging platform that allows for team members to communicate and collate all necessary information. It keeps all the information in one place and lets you organise conversations into channels. It also lets you post random gifs…
2. Buzzsumo
Buzzsumo is a powerful online tool that allows any user to find out what content is popular by topic or on any website. We use Buzzsumo to explore what’s trending for different topics, which can then be tailored to different industries depending on what works best. It’s great if you’re struggling on what to Tweet as it keeps you up to date on what’s going on in real-time, giving you plenty to share on your own platforms- keeping you relevant and in the know. Check it out here.
3. Trello
Are you bored of always searching for the notes you wrote on the back of that piece of paper that has magically disappeared into thin air? Well, search no further because we have the answer and its name is Trello. It is easy, free, flexible and a visual way to manage your projects and to organise anything. Have a go yourself!
4. Perkbox
You have to admit it is nice to have employee benefits; however, some companies aren’t able to offer their own perks, which is where Perkbox comes in. It’s a service that allows employees to gain access to nationwide benefits, including a percentage off cinema tickets, meal orders and clothing brands. Perkbox acts as a subscription service in which any company anywhere can sign up. Take a look here.
5. Sonos
Sonos is a wireless office sound system that fills our office with great-sounding music. This is streamed via WiFi. It allows anyone in the office to anonymously play any song they want to listen to…without any judgement. Well, until someone chooses to listen to the Jurassic Park theme song, then there’s a bit of judgement. We feel it is a great addition to any office; the sound from the speaker itself is great quality. Being able to listen to music without the annoying adverts and repetitive songs on the radio is so refreshing and it also causes for team building activities. On Friday’s we tend to play ‘Guess who sent this song in,’ - endless fun! Watch this space for the perfect office playlist on the blog! Check Sonos out here.
