 Two- thirds of the content on Pinterest comes from businesses and according to Pinterest, pinners are eager to connect with brands, with 83% of people wanting to follow their favourite brands rather than a celebrity on Pinterest. The platform has a great deal of influence, with a massive 87% of users purchasing a product because of Pinterest. Pinterest also found that 93% of people use the site to plan future purchases.

As well as a direct purchasing influence, around 5% of all referral traffic to websites comes from Pinterest, which is second to Facebook who drives 25% of all referral traffic on the web. The more click-worthy content your business provides on Pinterest, the better chance of driving conversion rates leading to other desired actions on your website.
