How Does Social Media Boost Business

Even if you have your own personal Facebook and Twitter accounts, we understand that in can still be difficult to imagine how social media can benefit your website and get you more business.

From Facebook to Instagram, Google+ to Pinterest, there are a huge variety of platforms out there which, when used properly, will drive quality traffic to your website. 

Here we have outlined the main benefits of using social media as part of your digital marketing strategy:

Reach New People

Improve Customer Service

Regardless of the nature of your business, there is a social media platform out there which will suit you and your clients.  People love to use social media to connect with brands as it is interactive and can be used to encourage conversations with other businesses and potential customers.  Why not show your current clients that you care by giving them the odd mention?

Social media gives your brand a personality and a voice.  As well as having the option to comment on your posts, you can also post polls on Facebook and Twitter to engage with people.  They might ask you questions, whether on your wall or by using a private message as, to many people, this is less daunting than emailing you as they feel like they’re interacting with a human being.

Even for more corporate organisations, such as solicitors, it is important to show that there are human beings behind the professional brand. Show Your Business Is Active

By regularly updating your social media accounts, people can see that your business is active.  If you have Facebook and Twitter accounts, people will find them and they will notice when they were last updated.  If you haven’t posted anything there for a while, can you blame people for wondering if the business is still active?

Increase web traffic

Use your social media accounts to share knowledge.  If you have a blog on your website (which we’d advise you do!) this is the perfect opportunity for you to share the articles.  People love free advice, but they need to find it!  Lure them in with a snappy post to accompany a link to your blog and, before you know it, they will be snooping around the rest of your website!
