THE BENEFITS OF A WALK ON PRESENTER

Oct 19, 2012

Category: Websites

When you look at the statistics it's clear to see the impact video has had on web marketing. The average retail site visitor will spend 2 minutes longer on a website with a video, and people who view a video are 64% more likely to purchase a product. Walk on presenters can have the same effect, and have a range of benefits that make them a worthwhile investment for your website.

So, what is a walk on presenter? When you visit a site’s home page, a presenter will walk onto the site as a representative of your business. The presenter will welcome the visitor to the site, outline its services and direct the visitor to some of its pages. You can view some of The Creation Lab’s walk on presenters in action here.

Walk on presenters add a personal touch to a website – something visitors love. It gives the impression that your business is run by friendly individuals who are genuinely interested in their customers. Visitors are looking for this above everything else, as they want the reassurance of good customer service.

Secondly, a website presenter is an effective method of getting key information across to the visitor in a short space of time. Within 45 seconds the presenter can outline the business, highlight its main services and stress what it can do for its customers. Even if your written content is fantastic, you cannot guarantee every visitor is going to read it, whereas a website presenter is more compelling and easy to listen to.

Although the presenter is usually added to the homepage, there is no end to its uses. Do you have a new product to promote? A walk on presenter can be added to your latest news or products page to showcase your new development to your visitors. Perhaps the presenter could also appear on your contact page, reminding visitors of your services and encouraging them to contact you for more information.

If you are wondering how difficult it is to add a walk on presenter to your website, you needn’t worry. It only involves adding a short line of code for your presenter to appear, and it will also work on mobile devices. It’s a small amount of work to produce something that’s a bit different from the standard website video, giving you the edge against your competitors.

If you want to find out more about walk on presenters, don’t hesitate to contact us!
