WORK EXPERIENCE AT THE CREATION LAB

This week we’ve had the lovely Hannah in for a work experience placement with us. Hannah comes from Dartford Grammar School for Girls and was interested to find out the work we do. Hear about her experiences here!
The Creation Lab is able to offer a fantastic work experience opportunity for students who are interested in the business and want to discover more about what the company does here.
I myself am here at The Creation Lab for a week’s worth of work experience and I feel that I have gained a lot of knowledge about how a company works, since I have never stepped foot in an office before, and most importantly about what The Creation Lab offers their customers, including website designs, content writing, virtual tours and much more.
Working in the office at The Creation Lab I have learnt much more about websites and what is needed to increase the amount of customers for that website by writing interesting blogs and social media feeds to attract the right people to the company. I have been given the opportunity to create blogs and social media feeds for real businesses in order to attract customers to work with the company. Work experience at the Creation Lab isn’t boring such as just filing or making cups of tea all the time but here you are actually involved with the work that they do and help with their business.
Here at The Creation Lab I have worked with some of the friendliest people I have ever met, being my first time going to work. I was expecting a bunch of serious workaholics, but in fact the people who work at The Creation Lab are able to get their work done and at the same time be kind and chatty and made me feel very welcome when coming to work at The Creation Lab, which is a great factor to have in a company.
I have never had any experience in this industry before – creating virtual tours and designing websites – but I was keen to find out. So by being here I was able to learn more about what they do and how to achieve it, which for me was an interesting and unique opportunity to find out if I would like to work in this type of business.
