Why Your Company Should Have Business Cards

Dec 27, 2018

Why would you still use business cards when everything is on the internet nowadays? Below are a few reasons why business cards are still so essential, even in this digital age!

Reason #1

Business cards are easy and convenient for clients to understand and they have all your contact information in one place.

They are a lot easier than simply telling a potential client your information, with the possibility of them forgetting the information throughout the day.

Reason #2

The design of your business cards is really important as it is a great way for clients to ‘get a feel’ for your business.

This can be done through colour, fonts, styles and, most importantly, your logo. For example, if you use a bright red on your business cards, a client is likely to view you as an energetic, exciting company to work with.

Alternatively, darker colours like greys and black are likely to give a more serious impression of your business; darker colours are also seen as more appropriate for certain industries such as lawyers etc.

Design is also essential in helping to create brand recognition. By being consistent with designs throughout your marketing material (business cards, a website, a leaflet etc.) you are helping to create something that clients will recognise as belonging to your company.

Reason #3

Business cards are a great way of marketing in general. By handing out business cards, maybe through people’s front door or at business events, you are hoping that people will take on and use the information given to them.

If receivers don’t personally use your information, they could possibly pass your business card onto a friend or relative for them to use; this helps with to organically spread the word of your business and could also inspire people to recommend your company.

Reason #4

A business card also helps to set a good impression. It shows that you are professional and have given a lot of thought into ways to promote and better your business.

By giving someone something to hold that is representative of your business (in ways such as the design, as mentioned before) you are showing that you care about making it easier for your clients to get in contact with you.

Conclusion

Overall, business cards are very handy. They’re bitesize forms of advertisement and allow you to quickly dish out your details when you don’t have your phone on hand. Not to mention it looks very professional.
