Once you are set up with a well-designed website , you have the basis of a good online presence. However, content is King when it comes to earning and keeping people‘s attention. If you’ve never heard of Content Marketing before, the Content Marketing Institute describes it as; to have a focus on creating and distributing valuable, relevant and consistent content.

Who?
You need to know your audience. Who are they? What are they most likely to be searching for? What would they find useful? You need to tailor your content with a specific audience in mind.
What are you trying to say? You need to be understood…
Information needs to be clear and concise, making sure it’s only as long as it needs to be to avoid rambling. This will allow your audience to find the information quickly. The tone of your writing also matters, it should match the tone of your brand whilst making the information accessible to all.
Format
There are now so many ways to get your message across online. You can tweet, live stream and blog! However, different messages will suit different formats. It might be that it is better viewed as an info-graphic if your content contains a lot of statistics. Whatever it is, aim to pick an enticing headline and keep the information easy to read with bullet points and relevant visuals to help explain points made.
Story Telling
‘Brands don’t sell products, they sell a lifestyle’
When sharing and writing content for your brand, by mentioning latest news and events related to the audiences lives it gives opportunity to devise an interesting story, injecting personality into any post. Or even add a case study from a previous client to further improve your point.
Share, Share, Share…
You now need to get your brand and content noticed, because after all that is the main aim. Have you got any social media channels? If so, sharing on multiple channels can enable you to reach a wealth of people all around the world. Encourage others to share and engage with the content. The great thing about social media is it allows for real-time responses, so make use of this and engage directly with the audience to further showcase your brands tone of voice and to offer individual advice and answers to any questions.
